The Touchwood Society was first dreamt of whilst Simeon, Miranda and their two children were travelling and living on their big green bus.

The Warburtons experiences under the forest canopies and nights sleeping under the stars inspired an interest in the lores and mythologies of our ancient woodlands that changed the entire direction the family was travelling in.

The answer came in the Alpurharrah mountains in Spain where the silence of the forested hills enabled them to hear a whisper from the woods.

It was here that the idea of re-connecting people with nature using the power of the trees themselves first came to them and the ancient practice of carrying a protective wooden totem would stand at the core of "Touchwood" philosophy.
